About

“If anyone had told me I would have become an author, I would have laughed out loud. I struggled writing English essays. Let’s say I lacked the creativity. I did not have any imagination. One day my mother told me to write an essay titled our home and that I could “cheat” a little. What she actually meant was that I could use my imagination. She tried using language that I could understand but when she read the essay, she laughed so hard and I could not understand why. Apparently, in my attempt to being creative, I had included that our kitchen had a swimming pool. Well, that was that.”

Martha is a testament of Proverbs 22:6 because when growing up, her parents taught her and her siblings about God. They made sure they read the bible and prayed together. Martha became a born again Christian in 2000. After a few months she backslid and went back to her old ways. She stopped going to church and did not care much about God. But God did not stop caring about her. Around June of 2002, she remembers not desiring to do the things she was doing but wanting to go to church. She quit drinking alcohol and did not care much about night clubs. One morning in December 2002, God spoke to her and told her to either surrender her life to Him then or never. She was really afraid and completely surrendered her life to God that day. There was an instant change and she felt a lot of joy and peace.

Martha got married to her loving husband, Daniel in 2006 and God has blessed them with two beautiful children. They enjoy being married and know that God continues to be the foundation of their marriage. They currently live in Houston, Texas. Her husband is a blessing from God just as her children are. God says in the book of James 1:17 that every good and perfect gift comes from Him and she knows that she did not and could not do anything to deserve these wonderful gifts.

Martha has authored two books; Waiting for a Husband, The Godly Way and Hopeful Living, Trusting God to Guide you through Life. She enjoys writing. Apart from writing, Martha is also a host of a show called Woman Transformed. Woman Transformed, a production of Pinnacle of Praise show, is a show that encourages men and women through testimonies from various individuals who have gone through difficult situations and have overcome. In the show, Martha also teaches on various topics that help inspire and empower. As an encourager, she felt the need to bring a show that will let you know that whatever you go through is for a season and a reason. Tune in every week and be encouraged.
