ABOUT MARTHA

My greatest desire in life is to encourage every woman to become who God created her to be. As a woman, I thank God for the women who have gone ahead of me and broken the glass celling which has made it easier for us as women to do amazing things. As a wife, I understand the work that I have to put in for the sake of my marriage. As a mother, I will not even go there.

It is challenging to be a woman especially because we wear many hats and we have to work just a little bit harder to make an impact. But you know what,we all can make an impact in our generation. This is why I am a big believer in encouraging women. This is why I blog so that I can encourage you. To let you know that you can become the very person God created you to be. He will give you the grace you need at the right time.

I am concerned about the Single Woman. Sometimes it feels like she has been left out. You may wonder why as a married woman I am concerned about the single lady. Simple really, I made a bunch of mistakes and I do not want to see another single woman make the mistakes I made.

I am an author. What can I say about being an author. I have written two books; Waiting for a Husband, The Godly Way and Hopeful Living, Trusting God to Guide you through Life. I can only attribute my authorship to God because,

“If anyone would have told me I would have become an author, I would have laughed out loud. I struggled writing English essays. Let’s say I lacked the creativity. I did not have any imagination. One day my mother told me to write an essay titled “Our Home”. She told me that I could “cheat” a little. This was her way of helping me with my imaginative process. She tried using language that I could understand but when she read the essay, she laughed so hard and I could not understand why. Apparently, in my attempt to being creative, I had included that our kitchen had a swimming pool. Well, that was that.”

Really writing was never something I even thought I would do. But as I have travelled in this journey with Jesus, I have learnt to be obedient. I know one of my prayers whenever I am preparing a message is, “Holy Spirit, teach me so that I can  teach your people.”

I can tell you that I have seen God work in my life in ways only He can. As long as I live, I will encourage the woman whether through books or though my radio show. This is what I was created to do; to encourage you.
